Jackson County, Kentucky — The small, close-knit community of Jackson County has been shaken by the mysterious disappearance of 52-year-old Shannon Ramsey Angel, whose vanishing has been heartbreakingly linked to the recent death of her mother. The circumstances surrounding Shannon’s sudden disappearance have left her family desperate for answers and pleading for the public’s help.

Shannon was last seen in late April 2025, shortly after her mother passed away. Family members report that Shannon was deeply affected by the loss, describing her as emotionally distressed and withdrawn in the days following the funeral. According to loved ones, Shannon left home without taking essential belongings, raising immediate concerns for her safety.

Despite extensive search efforts by local law enforcement, friends, and volunteers, there has been no confirmed sighting of Shannon. Authorities have been combing the rural landscape of Jackson County, using drones, search dogs, and volunteer search parties. But so far, the leads have yielded little progress.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Office is urging the public to come forward with any information that may lead to Shannon’s whereabouts. In an effort to encourage tips, the family has offered a \$1,000 reward to anyone who can provide credible information that helps bring 


Shannon’s family has also set up a GoFundMe campaign titled *Help Bring Shannon Ramsey Angel Home*, aiming to raise additional funds to continue search efforts and offer greater incentives for information. Contributions can also be made directly to the Citizens Bank in McKee, KY, under the Shannon Angel account.

This isn’t like her,” said a close family member. “She was grieving, but she wouldn’t just leave without a word. We fear something terrible has happened. All we want is to bring her home safe.”
